Brockley Primary School

Brockley Primary School is a 100% New Build School circa 2,500sqm for a value of £7.6 million. The programme is anticipated to run from 20 January 2011 to 30 January 2012 for phase one, comprising the entire construction of the New Build. 

Phase two will start from mid February 2012 to the end of June 2012 and will comprise the demolition of the redundant building and landscaping works. The school will remain occupied for the all duration of the works, and will be eventually extended from 1FE to 2FE and a Nursery.

Status

Overall Progress:

 Internal trades

  • De-snagging on painting / flooring / joinery
  • Metal work: completion of external guard railing on terrace / louvers GHP and kitchen roof

M&E

  • M&E testing and commissioning on going witnessed by Bailey Garner / Building  control as required
  • Training with school on going
  • Kitchen equipment completion including training to ES Catering team.

ICT

  • Completion of CCTV, Telephony system complete, Access control including T&C and training

Façade works

  • Complete – touch up on going

External works

  • Completion of external works (hard / soft / fencing and gates) including snagging / desnagging
  • Reinstatement of canopy / bike shed / shelter

FF&E

  • Fixed furniture 90% complete, reception desk on 9/01/12, Loose furniture deliveries starting 05/01/12

Logistic / Site installation

  • Relocation of site offices in nursery then crèche area (to be used up to 26/02/12)
  • Scaffolding / Hoarding erection in preparation of Phase 3

Utilities:

  • All complete except LGFL (ground works on main road & cabling) to start from 04/02/12
  • Disconnection of services prior to demolition: all quotes received and paid. Dates confirmed

History

Overall Progress:

Internal trades

  • Suspended ceiling: 1st floor closed, gnd floor on going.
  • Painting: 1st floor complete before snagging, gnd floor final coating / touch up 90% complete
  • Flooring: complete except corridor gnd floor, staircase, crèche (welfare) .
  • Doors installation complete, ironmongery (90%) except cylinders  to be delivered (10/01/12)
  • Metal work: balustrade on voids 70%, staircase & external metal work 0%

M&E

  • Mechanical: final fix 95% complete, T&C started on 19/12/11
  • Electrical: final fix 99% complete, T&C started on 12/12/11
  • Kitchen equipment installation complete (23/12/11). Awaiting M&E services for T&C (6/01/12)

ICT

  • CCTV, Telephony system complete, WAP complete.
  • Access control install 25% awaiting external gates installation (10/01/12) for completion

Façade works

  • Complete – touch up on going

External works

  • Paving area 70% complete,
  • Tarmac area: 40% ready for ready for binding course
  • Soft landscaping on going.
  • External equipment reinstatement, ext fountains, gates / fencing / access control by 13/01/12

FF&E

  • Fixed furniture 90% complete, reception desk on 9/01/12, Loose furniture deliveries starting 05/01/12

Logistic / Site installation

  • Removal of Site offices / Welfare on 10&11/12/2011 relocated in Creche / Nursery area (until mid Jan 12)

Utilities:

  • All services connected except LGFL line. Awaiting BT analogue lines activation (infrastructure complete).
  • Disconnection of services prior to demolition: all quotes received and paid. Dates being confirmed.
