Broomfield Hospital
“I am very proud of this new hospital building. It brings state-of-the-art hospital facilities to the people of mid-Essex and beyond”
Graham Ramsay, Chief Executive, Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust
The new PFI hospital wing at Broomfield was developed to centralize all of the Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust’s acute services within the Broomfield Hospital site. Completion of this project has doubled the size of the original hospital, and created a building that provided first class facilities for the whole county.
The existing hospital remained in use throughout the construction period, with landscaping, road improvements and other external works being completed in 2011.
