Kelmscott School Handed Over

The last of the refurb works were practically completed by 29 August 2008, when the Independent Certifier and LEP manager inspected the whole project for completion.  The main activities over the summer holiday were the main internal street revamp which included the new library and ICT facilities.  The other major activity over this period was the completion of the vast main landscape area to the right of the new build which completely transforms the appearance of the new school.

The school reopened 3 September 2008 for the new term; the Minister of Education, Ed Balls, and the Minister of Sports, Tessa Jowell, visited the new school on 10 September 2008 and toured the new premises with the head teacher and pupils.
