Sir John Cass Foundation and Red Coat School is a voluntary aided, Church of England and multi faith school for 900 pupils aged 11-16 and 560 pupils aged 16-18 (6th Form).
The objective of the new development is to upgrade the existing buildings where required as well as the new build elements.
A new double height entrance space will be created by slotting in a new roof and a facade along Stepney Way.
The drama block to the west will be extended with a 2 storey building which matches the width of the existing building.
The third element is a 5 storey block which will be attached to the existing stair of the main block.
Refurbishment to part of the main building, the major part being refresh only as per control option and brief
The other building will remain untouched other than ICT infrastructure upgrade to meet standard requirements. The external areas are remodelled to provide different types of spaces inclusive of a new MUGA.
