The External works have provided the school with:
- A new nursery play area
- An adventure area
- A Country Garden
- A Ball court
- Zen Courtyard
Willow Brook Primary School
The project consists of 1200 sqm of new accommodation and 1200 sqm of refurbishment. The new build comprises the entrance hub link building and the two storey dining hall block. One wing of the original Board School (Block C) has been demolished whilst the remaining buildings undertook internal remodelling or refurbishment.
The new hub extension fits with the scale of the existing buildings but contrasts with them to provide a clear modern identity and an identifiable entrance. The new two storey dining block is set behind the other buildings so does not have a street presence.
The school took occupation of the refurbished and new buildings for the start of Autumn term 2010. Completion of the redesigned external works was end of 2010.
